How it works

Proof carries the founding principle: every number traces to evidence. Sensor streams are published live, model predictions are shown against what instruments actually read, and every figure on every Aftermine page carries its evidence status — measured, modelled, estimated, conflicting or unknown. Where sources disagree, the disagreement is flagged, never averaged away. Annual reports account for methane destroyed, energy delivered, water treated and land restored, with uncertainty ranges attached.

The five labels

• MeasuredRead from an instrument at the source, with a stated method and date.
• ModelledProduced by a published model from site parameters — no instrument involved.
• EstimatedDerived from analogues or expert ranges where no model or measurement exists.
• ConflictingTwo or more credible sources disagree. Flagged, never averaged away.
